Reasons for choosing a custom computer rather than an 'off the shelf' system can be very diverse. Certainly some of the best advantages are individual support and warranty covers every individual component. Buying an off the shelf computer with a standard software install won't necessarily do what you need. We understand that high end entertainment, games systems, design professionals and programmers require and desire specific facilities. Symsys understands these specific non standard requirements and the extra attention to the install and setting up of the system correctly to do the job well.

Custom really means Custom at Symsys
If you need a dual boot system, a Linux install, data migrated from another computer, 3rd party software installed, server functions or other individual aspects to be set up or modified then Symsys are open to discuss and carry out whatever the customer requires. Symsys can provide software such as Windows™, Linux Distribution Discs and other software on request and are official NZ resellers of Sophos and ESET products. If you are looking for a specific Linux install on a new or even existing system then you are certainly in the right place.
Most importantly, Symsys will not force software onto your system that you do not want or need. We will not install your computer with free trial packages or bog it down with unnecessary tools. We will however, make sure any install is up to date and all security such as antivirus protection be active as standard. Of course, you also have bare-bone options with no software install at all so that you can deploy your own. (parts / build only basis)
Robust and Upgradable
Most assembly line / mass production PC's are moulded to specification leaving it very difficult if not impossible to change, modify or add to the system in the future, with the limits of 'options' being that of memory, processor and perhaps hard drives. In our usual midi tower computer cases there is room for up to 8 drives - 4 hard drive spaces internal and 4 drives in the front. This allows you to have arrangements of eg 1x DVDRW and 7 Hard drives using 3 hot-swappable bays in the front for easy access. There are a variety of internal and external slots and connectors on most mother boards to keep you going for a very long time to come.
Totally All Options Open
You can customise the way your system looks with a choice of case, peripherals and accessories according to your individual taste and requirements. You can choose any size and type of screen that you need and we can show you a great range of other peripherals such as keyboard and mouse sets, web cameras, a variety of storage solutions, speakers systems and printers.
If you desire all the 'bells and whistles' including lighting it up like a UFO then we can certainly do that. If you already have a perfectly good component or accessory, even a computer case bought elsewhere that will work together to make the new high quality computer system you want, then we won't make you buy what you don't need!
All components are available individually and we have a huge range to choose from.
